Every piece I create begins with a blank surface, an idea, and a desire to make something that cannot simply be captured in a photograph.
My work combines fused glass, dimensional plaster, stone, texture, color, and other unexpected materials to create art that invites you to do more than just look. It invites you to feel the piece.
I sign each multi-media piece with my name and a small glass heart ♥ — a personal symbol of the philosophy behind everything I create. “This art comes from my heart, and I hope it speaks to your heart. I create from love, for beauty, and to bring a little more of both into the world.”
Finding My Own Artistic Voice – My distinctive style began with a question:
What can I create that is truly my own? The answer came unexpectedly during a visit to an Arizona gallery. There, I discovered the work of two former aeronautical engineers who had transformed wood through carving and dimensional design. Something clicked. If they could create extraordinary dimension in wood, I wondered, what could I create with fused glass? That moment changed the direction of my work.
Experience
Drawing upon my experience as a stained-glass artist, oil painter and decorative faux-finishing artist, I began experimenting with all kinds of things. I brought materials traditionally used on walls onto a wooden art surface, combining dimensional plaster with fused glass, stones, rocks and other natural elements. The result became my signature form of boxed art—dimensional mixed-media pieces created on handcrafted wooden forms rather than traditional canvas. No two pieces need to follow the same formula. That’s part of the joy.
From Corporate America back to a Creative Life
My path to becoming a full-time creative Artist was anything but conventional.
With a master’s degree in human resources, I spent years as an HR director, including positions with Casino Data Systems and Raytheon in Nevada and California. But after years of mergers, acquisitions, layoffs and corporate restructuring, I realized I wanted the next chapter to be about something entirely different. In 2003, I left corporate America and returned to my creative interests that had always been part of my life since I was 8 years old.

My years of Feng Shui practice also influence the way I think about art. A piece isn’t simply something placed on a wall. It becomes part of the energy, personality and story of the space around it.
